Think back to all the tv shows u've seen.. imagine our american counterparts.. standing, proudly when they hear their national anthem. Proud to be singing along to it, proud of the words that makes them who they are.

Now, imagine this.
We're sitting in a KFC, happily munching on crunchy, yummy goodness, and you hear the malaysian anthem blaring over the system.. what do we do?
Note that its playing, and continue eating. As we look around the place, we see every1 else doing the same. Such is the spirit of Malaysia. Such is our enthusiasm and patriotism when it comes to our motherland.

Here's the best bit. In the middle of the anthem, the announcer cut it off. "Paging Ms. XXXX, please come to the counter. Paging Ms.XXX please come to the counter, there is someone looking for you". Now, up to that point, the anthem was already regarded as just background noise. But upon hearing the announcement, we were gain aware of the sound system. The clincher, after the announcement, the anthem continued from where it left off.

Bloody awesome. Such spirit, such dedication, such respect!

Our forefathers would be happily rolling in their graves. Oh well, at least they won't be gathering cobwebs from staying in one position for too long.
